The most common error is an incorrect login ID or password. You may need to contact the administrator or instructor if you have forgotten either of these. Another source of problems can be browser configuration. Some WebBoards want to set a cookie on your computer. A cookie is a piece of text written to your computers hard drive. If you are receiving an error when logging in and your URL and your login ID are both correct, then cookies may be the source of the problem. To make sure that cookies are enabled on your browser, do the following: Netscape: From the Edit Menu select Preferences..... Under Categories, click Advanced. Under Cookies, select Accept All Cookies. Click OK. Microsoft Internet Explorer: From the View menu, select Internet Options. Select the Advanced tab. Scroll down the list until you come to Cookies. Click Prompt Before Accepting cookies. You may wish to reset your browser to refuse cookies after you finish using WebBoard.
